The Executive Chairman of Okemesi/Ido-Ile Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Ekiti State, Hon. Ajibade Sunday Owolabi has extended greetings to the people of the council as they enter the month of September.
The LCDA boss wished all residents peace, progress and prosperity as they begin the new month.
This was contained in a statement issued from his media office on Monday in Okemesi-Ekiti.
Hon. Ajibade stated that the new month should be embraced with renewed hope and commitment to collective growth. He encouraged residents to support one another and remain focused on building a stronger and more united community.
“As we step into September, I greet all residents of Okemesi/Ido-Ile and wish everyone a month filled with peace and blessings. Let us keep our hopes high, stay positive and continue to work together for the progress of our council,” he said.
Speaking on the ember months, the council boss cautioned residents, particularly motorists and road users, to be extra vigilant and responsible.
He stressed that the period, often associated with increased travel and accidents, should not be approached with fear but with discipline and strict adherence to safety rules.
Hon. Ajibade advised, “the ember months are not a time for panic but a reminder for us to be more careful.
“I urge all drivers to obey traffic regulations, avoid reckless driving and ensure that safety comes first.
“Together, we can make this season accident-free and joyful for all.”
