Hon. Ajibade Commissions Staff Bus, Street Lights, Presents Laptops in Okemesi/Ido-Ile LCDA

It was a moment of celebration on Monday, January 5, 2025, as the Chairman of Okemesi/Ido-Ile Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Ajibade Sunday Owolabi, commissioned a newly procured staff bus to address transportation challenges faced by council workers.

The Chairman also presented five laptops to key departments of the council as part of efforts to enhance productivity, improve record-keeping and strengthen service delivery.

In addition, Hon. Ajibade commissioned newly installed solar-powered street lights within the council secretariat to improve security and ensure a safer working environment for staff.

Speaking at the event, the chairman said the provision of the staff bus was aimed at easing daily movement of workers, while the laptops were meant to support efficient administrative operations across departments.

He charged council workers to reciprocate the gesture through diligence, commitment and responsible conduct in the discharge of their official duties.

Hon. Ajibade reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to staff welfare, stressing that a motivated workforce remains critical to effective grassroots governance and sustainable development.

The brief but colourful ceremony was attended by the Vice Chairman, Secretary to the LCDA, Head of Local Government Administration, Directors of Administration and Finance, as well as senior council officials, clerics, traditional chiefs and members of staff.
