In a bid to further enhance the development and progress of Ido-Ile Ekiti in Ekiti West Local Government of Ekiti State, a new National Executives to pilot the affairs of Ido-Ile Progressive Union (IPU) has been affirmed and inaugurated on March 7, 2026 at Ido-Ile Ekiti.
Speaking after a gathering of the community affirmed the new exco, the Olojudo of Ido-Ile, HRM Oba Aderemi Obaleye, who was filled with joy, expressed satisfaction with the new EXCO.
The monarch advised them to bring their wealth of experiences to bear in moving the community forward.
Dr Adejoro Fasanmade, a renowned medical practitioner and former Permanent Secretary is the new National President. His immediate assistant is Mr. Tayo Olauyi, a former Permanent Secretary too, as Deputy President 1. Others are Mr. Niyi Oloidi, Deputy President 2, and Elder Pius Ajayi, Deputy President 3.
The trio of Hon. Adeoye Ajayi, Hon Sesan Jayeola and Rtd. Navy Comdr. Olufemi Ajayi are to serve as Vice presidents 1,2,3 respectfully. Hon Tayo Adeoye is the National Secretary, Aare Bayo Fatokun, Asst. Secretary, Pastor Dare Ibironke, Treasurer, Engr (Pastor) Ojo Ajibola, a Banker, is the Financial Secretary. The new EXCO also consists of Mr. Oladunjoye Asaolu, Minutes Secretary, Mr Adebowale Adefabi, a well known Radio Presenter, Publicity Secretary, Engr. Aderemi Ajayi, Auditor, Prof. Olariike Ogunbusola, Social Secretary while Ven. Dr. Julius Fatokun and High Chief Adesoji Adeleke are Ex-Officio Members. All Chairmen of IPU Branches are automatic members of the EXCO. These are Dr. Sola Oyebode, Lagos Branch, Elder Sunday Oluwatoyin, Ibadan Branch, Chief Tunde Oyebode, Aramoko Branch, Mr Dayo Agbekeye, Efon Branch, Canon Adedotun Adewale, Akure Branch, Rev. Dele Ogunmodede, Home (Ido-Ile) Branch, and Mr. Tayo Olauyi who holds a double portfolio of being the Chairman of Ado Ekiti Branch. The current Councilor of Ido-Ile Ward, Hon. Jide Jegede is an automatic Member. Mr Segun Oloidi, Engr Dayo Ibironke and Chief Ebenezer Oni, who are professionals in different fields of endeavor serve as Technical Advisors, and Mrs Bosede Arowosafe, an Environmental specialist is the Gender Representative/Mobilizer.
In his acceptance speech, the new IPU National President, Dr. Adejoro Fasanmade promised, on behalf of his team, to work with Kabiyesi Olojudo to further enhance development to the ancient town. The President hailed the government of Ekiti State led by His Excellency, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for embarking on the rehabilitation/ construction of the Ita-Ido – Ido-Ile – Ajindo Road, which has been a serious concern to the community. He assured the Governor of the unwavering commitment of Ido-Ile people to his 2026-2030 project.
The new Exco’s tenure expires after 4 years.
