The Executive Chairman of Okemesi/Ido-Ile Local Council Development Area, Hon. Ajibade Sunday Owolabi has congratulated residents of the council and urged them to embrace the new month of December with calmness, gratitude and renewed commitment to community progress.
In a statement issued by his media office in Okemesi-Ekiti on Sunday, Hon. Ajibade noted that December is usually known for celebrations and increased activities, but advised residents to prioritise peace of mind, moderation and thanksgiving as the year draws to an end.
He said December should not be viewed as the end of opportunities, explaining that individuals who remain focused on their plans will continue to achieve success.
The Chairman also appealed to residents to stay security-conscious, given the current situation across the country. He encouraged the public to support security agencies by reporting strange movements or suspicious activities within their communities.
“We all have a role to play in keeping our environment safe. If you see something, say something. Security operatives cannot do it alone,” he said.
Hon. Ajibade assured that the council will continue to strengthen security, support human capital development and promote agriculture and education as key areas of development.
He called on residents to continue supporting the administration of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, describing the Governor’s efforts in the state as purposeful and focused on improving the lives of the people.
The Chairman also expressed appreciation to Governor Oyebanji for his continuous support and contributions to the growth of Okemesi/Ido-Ile LCDA.
